Convert WebP to JPG

Convert WebP images to JPG for any app or form.

Your files never leave your device

Convert WebP to JPG when images saved from websites, Google or WhatsApp stickers will not open in forms, older apps or printers. Standard JPG files work everywhere, and the conversion takes a tap. Then resize image to 50KB for a form, or convert JPG to PDF for a document.

How to convert WebP to JPG

  1. Choose your .webp images.
  2. Leave the quality at 92% or change it; this WebP converter keeps the pixel size.
  3. The JPGs are ready instantly. Download them individually or as a ZIP.

Tips for best results

  • Right-clicking an image in Chrome and choosing “Save image as” often gives a .webp file. Convert it here before uploading it to a form or printing it.
  • Keep quality at 92% for photos you will print. Drop to 80% if you only need a smaller JPG for sharing on WhatsApp or email.
  • Convert several WebP images at once and download them as a ZIP to save time when you have a whole folder of saved images.

Frequently asked questions

What is a WebP file?

WebP is an image format made by Google for websites. It is smaller than JPG for the same quality, which is why websites use it. Many government portals, office apps and photo printers still only accept JPG or PNG.

Does WebP to JPG lose quality?

Very little at the default 92% quality: the JPG will look the same. The file may become somewhat larger than the WebP, because JPG is a less efficient format.

What about transparent or animated WebP images?

Transparent areas are filled with white, because JPG has no transparency. For animated WebP files, only the first frame is converted.

I downloaded an image and it says “.webp”. Can I just rename it to .jpg?

No. Renaming does not change the format inside the file, and many websites check the real format and reject it. Converting re-saves the picture as a genuine JPG.

Can I convert WebP to PNG instead?

Use Resize Image or Rotate Image and choose PNG as the output format. Both accept WebP files.
