This thumb impression resizer fits a scanned left thumb impression to the exact pixel and KB limits that bank and NTA exam forms ask for. Photograph your thumbprint on white paper and the tool cleans it, crops away the empty paper and resizes it. Do your signature with the signature resizer too, and compress documents for online form uploads like the declaration.

How to use the thumb impression resizer

  1. Choose your exam, or “Custom size” and enter its rules.
  2. Press your left thumb on a stamp pad (blue or black ink) and then firmly on plain white paper.
  3. Photograph or scan it and upload. Cleaning, trimming and resizing happen straight away.
  4. Download the result and check that the thumb impression size in pixels and KB matches your notice.

Tips for best results

  • Press firmly but don't smudge: lift the thumb straight up after pressing so the ridges stay sharp.
  • Photograph the print in daylight with the phone held straight above it, without flash.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a clear thumb impression?

Use a stamp pad with blue or black ink, roll your thumb lightly across it, then press it on white paper with even pressure, rolling slightly from side to side. Too much ink makes a black blob and too little gives a faint print. Make two or three and photograph the clearest.

Which thumb should I use?

Usually the left thumb. Most notices allow the right thumb if the left is missing or injured, and you may need to mention that in the form. Follow your notice.

What size do bank exams want?

IBPS and SBI forms commonly ask for 240 × 240 pixels and 20–50 KB at 200 DPI. Those values load automatically when you choose the exam. NEET asks for an image of the fingers and thumbs of both hands, with its own KB range.

Will cleaning remove the fingerprint lines?

No. It whitens the paper and darkens the ink, which usually makes the ridges clearer. If a faint print loses detail, untick “Clean up” and apply again.

Is the thumb impression image stored anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded. That matters for biometric images like fingerprints.
