- Use the repeated layout for documents with details spread across the page, and a single centred mark for letters or certificates.
- Keep transparency between 15% and 30% so the stamp is obvious but the text underneath is still easy to read.

Why should I watermark my Aadhaar or PAN copy?
Writing the purpose and date across a copy, like “For SBI account opening only, 28-10-2026”, makes it harder to reuse for something else. Use a repeated, diagonal watermark that crosses the details but still lets them be read.
Can I write the watermark in Hindi?
Yes. The text is drawn by your browser, which handles Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Bengali and other scripts correctly. It is then placed on each page as an image.
Can someone remove the watermark?
With PDF editing software and some effort, yes, as with almost any PDF watermark. It discourages misuse and shows intent, but it is not a security lock. To stop people opening the file at all, use Protect PDF.
Will the text underneath still be readable?
Yes, at the default 25% visibility. Raise the visibility for a bolder stamp, or lower it for a faint background mark.
Can I use my logo as a watermark?
Text watermarks only for now. To place an image such as a stamp or logo on a page, use Sign PDF with a picture of it.
