Merge PDF files such as certificates, bills or chapters into a single PDF for one upload or one email. Add the files, drag them into the right order and merge. If the result is too large, compress PDF size next, or add page numbers to PDF pages.
How to merge PDF
- Choose two or more PDFs to combine PDF files into one. You can add more files later.
- Drag the files into the order you want (press and hold on a phone). The top file comes first.
- Tap “Merge PDFs”.
- Download the combined PDF.
Tips for best results
- Name your files 1, 2, 3 before adding them, so they arrive in roughly the right order and need fewer drags.
- Merge first and compress once at the end: compressing the combined PDF gives better quality than shrinking each part separately.
- If a portal wants one PDF with all documents, put the most important one, such as the application form, first.
- Check the merged file's page count in the result before uploading it.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on files or pages?
No fixed limit. Each PDF can be up to 200 MB. Very large merges use more of your phone's memory, so if a browser struggles, merge in two steps.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, with no re-compression, so text stays sharp and searchable. The merged file is about the sum of the parts; compress it afterwards if it needs to be smaller.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
Page content, links and annotations are kept. Bookmarks (the outline) and fillable form fields from the original files are not carried over, so fill and flatten forms before merging.
One of my PDFs shows “password-protected”. What now?
Remove its password with Unlock PDF (you need to know the password), then add the unlocked copy here.
Can I merge images with PDFs?
Turn the images into a PDF first with JPG to PDF, then merge that file with your other PDFs.
