This signature resizer turns a photo of your signature on white paper, or one drawn on screen, into a clean, sharp file that meets your form's pixel and KB rules. Grey paper becomes white, the ink gets darker, and empty margins are cut away automatically. Next, use the thumb impression resizer or join photo and signature in one image.
How to use the signature resizer
- Choose your exam (IBPS, SBI, SSC, UPSC, CTET, PAN and more) or “Custom size”.
- Upload a photo of your signature, or switch to “Draw it here” and sign with your finger.
- The signature is cleaned, trimmed and resized straight away. Untick any option you don't want and tap “Apply new settings”.
- Check the signature size in KB and pixels on the result and download it.
What the clean-up options do
| Cut away empty paper | Finds your signature and removes the blank margin around it, keeping a small border |
|---|---|
| Clean up | Makes the paper pure white and the ink darker, removing shadows from phone photos |
| Black and white | Removes colour (needed for PAN; optional elsewhere) |
| Fitting | The signature is fitted into the required size without stretching; extra space is white |
Frequently asked questions
How do I take a good photo of my signature?
Sign 2–3 times larger than normal with a black or dark blue gel pen on plain white paper. Place the paper on a flat surface near a window or bright light and hold the phone straight above it so there is no shadow. Crop is not needed: the tool finds the signature and trims the rest.
Can I draw my signature instead of uploading?
Yes. Choose “Draw it here” and sign with your finger, stylus or mouse, in black or blue ink. Note that some forms want the scan of a signature made with a pen on paper, so check your notice. A drawn signature should match how you sign on paper.
My signature looks squashed or stretched. Why?
It shouldn't here. Instead of stretching to fit, the signature is scaled to fit inside the required size, such as 140 × 60 pixels, and the leftover space is filled with white. If it looks small, sign wider and less tall on paper so its shape matches the box better.
The form says 10–20 KB but my signature is only 6 KB. Is that a problem?
Forms with a minimum reject files that are too small. Simple images like signatures are naturally tiny, so the tool adds invisible padding inside the JPG to reach the minimum. The picture does not change and the file stays valid.
Should my signature be in capital letters?
No. Most notices, including NTA and banking exams, say a signature in capital (block) letters is not accepted. Sign in your normal running hand, the same way you will sign at the exam centre.
