Leave empty for best print quality.

  • Use a photo taken against a plain white or very light wall, facing the camera, in good light.
  • No glasses glare, no cap; both ears visible if possible; neutral expression.

This passport size photo maker turns any clear photo into a correctly sized passport photo, 35 × 45 mm or 2 × 2 inch, at print quality. Then download a ready-to-print sheet with 4 to 30 copies for a photo shop or your home printer. If the wall behind you is not white, make photo background white first.

How to use the passport size photo maker

  1. Pick the photo size: 35 × 45 mm for India and most visas, or 2 × 2 inch for the US.
  2. Upload a photo taken against a plain white wall.
  3. Move and resize the box so your face fits the dashed oval, then tap “Make passport photo”.
  4. Download the single photo for online forms, or choose paper and copies and download the print sheet PDF.

Frequently asked questions

What is the passport size photo size in India?

35 mm wide and 45 mm high, which is 3.5 × 4.5 cm. The face should take up most of the height, with a plain white or off-white background and a neutral expression. Many visas and exam forms use the same size.

How do I print the sheet correctly?

Open the PDF and print at 100% (“Actual size”). Do not use “Fit to page”, which shrinks the photos. On 4 × 6 photo paper you get 8 photos; on A4 up to 30. Photo shops can print the PDF directly, which is usually the cheapest option.

Does this remove or whiten the background?

Not in this tool. Use Make Photo Background White first: it replaces the background automatically on your device. Then make the passport photo here from the result.

Can I use this photo for an online application?

Yes. The single photo is 300 DPI and is kept under the KB limit you set (250 KB by default). For exams with their own pixel rules, use the Exam Photo Resizer instead.

Why does my printed photo look a bit dark?

Phone screens are brighter than paper. If your photo looks dark on screen too, retake it in daylight facing a window, or ask the photo shop to brighten it slightly when printing.
