Image to Scanned PDF

Turn phone photos of documents into a scanned-looking PDF.

Your files never leave your device

Image to scanned PDF turns photos of documents, taken with your phone, into one PDF that looks like it came from an office scanner: each photo is placed on an A4 page with paper tone, grain and a slight tilt. It is a quick fix when a portal asks for a scanned copy and you have no scanner.

How to convert image to scanned PDF

  1. Add your photos; each one becomes one page, in the order shown.
  2. Choose a style (Light, Realistic or Old photocopy) and check the preview of the first page.
  3. Pick the page size: A4, with the photo placed on the page, or the same shape as the photo.
  4. Set the resolution and, if needed, a maximum file size in KB.
  5. Press “Make scanned PDF” and download it.

Tips for best results

  • Photograph each page flat, in daylight, from straight above, and crop away the table around it first with crop image; the scan look cannot fix a skewed photo.
  • Greyscale (Realistic) hides colour casts from indoor lighting and makes files smaller.
  • iPhone HEIC photos work directly; there is no need to convert them first.
  • To keep colour photos as they are, without a scan effect, use JPG to PDF instead.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from JPG to PDF?

JPG to PDF puts your photos in a PDF unchanged. This photo to scanned PDF tool adds the look of a scan: even paper colour, greyscale or black and white, grain, slight blur and tilt, so a quick phone photo reads like an office scan.

Can I make a scanned PDF of several pages?

Yes. Add all the photos at once; each becomes a page, and each page gets its own small variation so they do not look copied.

Will it straighten or crop my photo?

No, it does not detect page edges. Crop the photo to the paper first for the cleanest result, then convert it here.

What file size can I expect?

About 80–250 KB per A4 page at 200 DPI. Tick “Limit file size” to fit a portal's limit, such as 200 KB or 1 MB.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The photos are read and converted inside your browser and never sent anywhere.
