This keyword density checker shows which words and phrases your text really focuses on. Paste an article or page, and get the top single words, two-word and three-word phrases with how often each appears. Then write your title with the meta tag generator and check its length with the word counter.
How to use the keyword density checker
- Paste the visible text of your article or page.
- Optionally type your target keyword to see its keyword frequency, density, and whether it appears early.
- Switch between 1-, 2- and 3-word phrases.
- Use the results to check that your main topic is clear, then edit the text.
Tips for best results
- There is no perfect density. If your main keyword is above 3–4%, the text probably reads as repetitive; use natural variations instead.
- Mention the main keyword in the first 100 words and in at least one heading, so readers and search engines know the topic quickly.
- Two- and three-word phrases show your real topics better than single words. Check that they match what people search for.
- Run a competitor's top-ranking article through the tool to see which related phrases they cover that you don't.
Frequently asked questions
What is keyword density?
The share of all words taken up by a keyword. If a 500-word article uses “compress PDF” 10 times, those 20 words are 4% of the text.
What keyword density is good for SEO?
Search engines no longer reward a particular percentage. Write for readers, use the keyword where it fits naturally, and cover related terms. Very high density can look like keyword stuffing, which Google treats as spam.
What are stop words?
Very common words such as “the”, “of”, “and” in English or “का”, “है”, “में” in Hindi. They are hidden by default because they dominate every text without saying what it is about. Tick the option to include them.
Does it work for Hindi content?
Yes. Hindi words are split correctly and common Hindi function words are filtered out, so you see topics like “पीडीएफ आकार” rather than “का” and “है”.
Should I paste HTML or plain text?
Plain visible text. Copy it from the page in your browser. Pasting HTML would count tag names and attributes as words.
